It is easy to go crazy on the travel stroller market - so many different options, opinions and reviews out there! We've made the choosing easier for you - if you are in Tallinn and need a great stroller to explore Estonia or travel abroad from here, then read below about our TOP2 strollers, that are easy to use, lightweight and out there to make your trip a little bit more fun! Below you will find a review of two great strollers compared to one another - Babyzen Yoyo and Mountain Buggy Nano. Both are available in our rental in Tallinn. Babyzen Yoyo is considered the uncrowned king of the travel strollers - it is light, easy to fold, beautiful to watch and convenient to take anywhere with you! At the same time there are a few "buts" that you don't hear often before actually starting to use it. As Mountain Buggy Nano seems to be very similar to it, we are comparing the two and explaining the differences. Babyzen Yoyo 6+: Dimensions folded: 52cm x 45 cm x 18 cm Weight: 6.2 kg Colours available: black, pink, red Rental price from 30€ + deposit 100€ Available accessories: rain cover, 0+ newborn pack, standing board for elder child, footrest Pros (vs Nano): Peekaboo window in the canopy Convenient zipped pocket, to put your purse or diapers in it Great fit for taller parents Big shopping basket (fits only 2 kg though) Cons: Pricy rental Often not available 6+ version seat recline isn't flat 0+ newborn pack is a nuisance to change to 6+ version 0+ newborn pack is meant for smaller babies. Starting from 5months it is a bit small for some and yet most children don't sit yet by 6 months, so there is a gap in use from approximately 5-7 months in between. Seat size is a bit smaller than in Nano, more suitable for children up to 3 years Footrest needs to be rented additionally Mountain Buggy Nano: Dimensions folded: 54 cm x 51 cm x 30 cm (51 cm x 46 cm x 30 cm without the wheels ) Weight: 5.9 kg Colours: blue and black Rental price starting from 25€ + deposit 100€ Available accessories: travel bag, baby cocoon, rain cover, mosquito net, blackout cover Pros (vs. Babyzen Yoyo): Suitable for a child 0-20 kg, no need to rent anything additionally Easy to add a baby cocoon, which meets also plane cabinet requirements Basket that can handle up to 5kg (though a bit not so comfortable to access as in Yoyo) Wide seat, comfortable for children 3+ Built in footrest Adapters to assemble your car seat (works with most) Cons: Is a bit bigger than some smaller plane hand luggage requirements and thus you need to be ready to disassemble the wheels. Cocoon is not too big, works for smaller babies There are actually a lot of similarities between the two, for example both are light and easy to fold both have travel bags both can be opened with one hand (but needs practice) both have newborn options, which can be also rented separately both have a carrier belt (Yoyo one is of course a bit nicer) canopy size is similar similar wheels system Here is also one comparison, if you want check out how strollers look like compared to one another: Check for some more details on our different travel strollers here! • One fine trip to Stockholm

On the last weekend of August a family of four decided to make most of it by travelling from Tallinn to Stockholm by boat. To make the journey a bit easier, they rented a Samsonite Dream Rider suitcase for the preschooler and a Babyzen Yoyo 6+ for the toddler. It was a smart choice, as kept the children happy and save up on the investment. Mommy even could ride them together at the same time. Great job! Julia : "Our own stroller is big and heavy and we didn't want to take it with us to Stockholm, as it would've taken all the space in the boat cabin. Babyzen was great - small, light, easy to fold. And our children managed to break their own suitcases and we decided to give it a try to rent one this time. Our pre-schooler was happy, he didn't have to walk all the way to the boat." Also don't forget that there is a GIFT waiting for you when renting 2 and more rentals at a time! Whatever it is that you are planning, our light strollers, safety seats and suitcases will help you to make most of your trip! Book your gear in advance by e-mail: info@rent4kids.ee

  • Destination: Tallinn

So, you are traveling to Estonia’s capital with your family and are planning to discover Medieval Old Town, beautiful virgin nature and indoor and outdoor adventure parks! Sounds great! Tallinn has plenty of spots for you to explore, and what’s more, everything is just around the corner. Most museums in Tallinn are large and spacious, sights close-by, public transportation well thought through. In case you plan to keep your stay in the city, you probably won’t need a car at all. Little feet will have plenty of time discovering free public playgrounds that are carefully planted all over city. If you are planning to sightsee in Old Town, keep in mind, that the cobblestones are beautiful, but not very stroller friendly. Probably the best places to visit to enjoy the atmosphere, as well as keep little feet entertained would be visiting specious viewing platforms (Patkuli, Kohtuotsa) or the Puppet Theatre or Miiamilla Children’s Museum in Kadriorg. Here are our favorite public kids playgrounds in Tallinn: 1. On Reidi tee, near Russalka monument. Take your time, you are probably not going anywhere next few hours. Don’t forget some warmer clothes, as playground is located all over promade by the sea and keep some change for the coffee and ice-cream on the way. Get there by public transport as car parking spaces are limited (cost for parking 0,01 €/minute = 0,60 €/h) 2. Stroomi playground located next to Stroomi beach. It is pretty great on a good day – you can relax on the beach, rent a sup/ surf board or run around on the playground with your toddler - a good walk guaranteed! Accessible by public transport, foot and car, as well as by bike or scooter. 3. The newest and most adventurous is in Tondiraba park. It is huge and will be most enjoyed by children 4+. Probably best to get there by car. 4. Playgrounds in Kadriorg near Miiamilla museum are also super fun and what is best, are designed by age, so no need to worry that older kids will overrun your toddler. Get there on a tram or bus or walk if you are staying in city center, it's located near Russalka. The route could be combined with Reidi tee. 5. Local's favourite in Löwenruh park. Be prepared it is always crowded if it is not raining. Probably the easiest to access by any transportation. Nice grill restaurant in case you get hungry. Stroomi beach playground. If your kids are into animals, you would be surprised how many different mini-zoo’s and farms are publicly open in Tallinn and in no more than 1h drive around it. Petting zoo in Kuristu We suggest to check out Tallinn’s Zoo, which is great to discover with a stroller and will probably take you a good few hours by foot or to go to more private mini-zoo’s like Polli, Kuristu or even why not Viikingite küla. In Viikingi küla you are greated by these furry little fellas. Beware of the cobblestones. Viikingite küla playground Mr.Turkey at Polli mini-zoo Another great place to discover if your kids get runny noses and feel like they need a bit cheering up are salt chambers in Halos Lastekeskus. It is absolutely beautiful and 100% good for your health. The atmosphere there is very fairy tale like too. To make most out of your stay we picked the best strollers that would hold up to the challenge of both Old Town, narrow sideways and fitting the smallest car trunks. Best strollers to explore Tallinn: 1. Moon Resea Sport: super manoevorable, foldable and can handle any terrain. 2. Mamas&Papas Armadillo City is perfect to explore Tallinn. It is travel friendly, suitable from birth with XXL canopy that will allow to sleep through the journey. A bit bumpy on a country road. 3. Phil&Teds Go is great and lightweight if you explore the town on a public transport. Can tackle numerous terrains and feels strudy. Suitable from 6+ months In case you plan to rent a car: 1. Don’t forget the safety seats. Here are some you can rent! 2. If you plan to spend some time to explore beautiful Estonia’s nature, travel bed is a must! 3. • Rent baby gear in Tallinn: what-why-where?

⁣⁣It is a universal truth that babies and kids come with a lot of stuff. So, in case you are visiting Tallinn with your baby or toddler, it seems reasonable to consider how to make your life a bit simpler. Here is our answer to the main questions you might find yourself asking. Why should parents rent baby gear? To save up: renting is less expensive. To keep excess gear out of your home: no need to buy it for one trip to store it later on for decades. To travel lighter: no comments, your hands still will be full. If no other, with your toddler's snacks. It is more sustainable: kids grow fast when they are small and it is not sensible to buy them all that stuff for one trip. Cut down on waste and get more use per item. To test it out: maybe it is not as good as you thought it to be? What should you rent for your baby? This depends a lot on your child's age and your planned activities.
